While we wait for borders to open for leisure travel, why not indulge in the excitement of planning our next trip of a lifetime. According to researchers, looking ahead to our next adventure could benefit our mental health. Even if we’re not sure when that adventure will be.
Planning and anticipating a trip can be almost as enjoyable as going on the trip itself. The fact that trips are temporary – each trip has a defined start and end – our minds are prone to savor the journey, way before it’s started. We start ‘consuming’ a trip as soon as we begin imagining it, thinking and talking about it. That’s precisely why I’m creating my own road trip to Texas for next spring.
Good things are coming!
